Colorado Springs & Pueblo Events (coloradosprings.whatsupin.ai) is a free directory of public Colorado Springs, Pueblo & Southern Colorado events, built and operated by whatsupin.ai. This policy explains what data it handles, and how.
Listings are collected from event pages and feeds that their organizers have already made public (event platforms, venue and organizer websites, library, city and park calendars). Each listing keeps only what is needed to find the event: title, date and time, venue/location, price, category tags, a short excerpt, and a link back to the original listing, where the details and tickets live.
Browsing the listings is free. Copying the event data in bulk needs our written permission first (see the terms); please keep the link back to each event's original listing and be gentle with request volume (see robots.txt). The data is provided as-is, without warranty; always confirm details with the organizer.
When an organizer’s or venue’s own public listing shows a way to reach them (an email address, phone number or website), we may keep it in a private list, together with the listing it came from. We use it to write to them one-to-one: about their listings (corrections, removals, missing events), and about services we may offer organizers and venues later, such as matching events with venues or helping them reach more people. The list is never published, shared or sold. We don’t keep contacts from sites whose terms forbid it, and where local law limits it we keep less (in some countries only a name and website, in others nothing). We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the listings accurate and in offering those services. An entry is kept until it is no longer useful for these purposes; you can object to its use at any time, and if you ask (admin@whatsupin.ai) we delete it and don’t collect it again.
You don't need an account, and the site doesn't ask you for personal information unless you sign up for the weekly email (below). It sets no cookies of its own, shows no ads, and uses no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. Events you save with ☆ stay in your own browser's storage and are never sent to us. To count visitors, the site's own server records one anonymous entry per visit: a one-way hash of your IP address and browser that changes every day (so it can't be linked across days or turned back into an IP), the site you came from, and whether you were on a phone or a computer. To count how many people visit in a day, a week and a month without any ID, your browser keeps one date in its own storage: the day it was last counted. Each visit sends only yes or no for “first visit today, this week, this month, ever”, never the date itself, and these visits are added up in plain counts together with the site you came from, phone or computer, whether you use the installed app, and whether your connection comes from a cloud or hosting company (as our host reports it; that usually means an automated browser rather than a person). For visitors in the EU, the UK and nearby countries the date isn’t stored and the visit is just counted. When an AI assistant asks this site’s /mcp for events, we keep daily counts of those requests: which tool, which kind of assistant, which filters were used (not what was typed), how many events came back, and the company that runs the network it came from (such as “Amazon” or “Comcast”). We never store the search words, an IP address or anything that identifies you. Using the Share button records only which share method was used. The optional feedback box stores the text you write (and an email only if you choose to add one), with no IP address or other identifier. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. To protect the site and its event data from abuse such as bulk copying, we also review Cloudflare’s request statistics; for suspicious traffic we may keep network-level details (such as a shortened IP address and the browser type) for up to 90 days, and use them only for that. Searches and filters run in your own browser against the public data file; they are not sent to us.
If you sign up for the weekly email, we store your email address, the city you picked (or, on the city chooser, the city you asked for), and the part of town and neighborhood you choose if you add them on the confirm page, along with when you signed up, confirmed or unsubscribed. No IP address or other identifier is stored with it. We use it only to send that city’s email (a welcome message now, then the weekly issue) and to count signups per city. We don’t sell, rent or share the list, except with the email delivery provider that sends the messages for us. Until you confirm your address you get at most the first three issues. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works at once; to have your address deleted entirely, write to admin@whatsupin.ai.
Public event listings may be tagged or ranked with the help of automated software, including AI models.
The site doesn’t track you across other websites, and no third party collects information about your activity here over time or across sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off; we treat every visit that way whether or not your browser sends one. When we make a material change to this policy, we announce it at the top of this page with the date it takes effect.
Past public listings are kept in a private archive to study trends and improve coverage.
